The group of people behind World Whole Foods
blends together as an experienced, diverse and dynamic team with
a strong background in the food industry.
John Efkarpidis:
Chief Executive Officer
John is the driving force behind the organisation and his aim is to provide the
best possible service in food production. John has a sound background in retail
and wholesale computing systems - having managed the computer systems for Supa-Barn,
Cannons Quality Fresh Supermarkets and Australian Independent Wholesalers (AIW).
His experience as implementation manager for three new AIW warehouses proved
invaluable in establishing World Whole Foods. John is co-director and board member
of The Efkarpidis Group. John and his wife, Amelia, own and operate a Boer goat
farm that is in organic conversion with BFA. |
Johnathan
Efkarpidis: Director
Johnathan gained extensive experience in IT management through his partnership
in Dynamite Internet, for which he was awarded the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur
of the Year in the 1998 Telstra and Australian Government Small Business Awards.
The company became the largest ISP in the ACT and region, with a customer base
of 13,000 and a turnover of more than $3.5 million before being sold to eisa
limited in late 1999. Johnathan has a BA (Australian National University) and
an IT Diploma from Interim Technologies. This, combined with his boundless energy
and innovative online strategies, has enabled World Whole Foods to realise its
goal of becoming the most sophisticated e-commerce enabled food distributor in
Australia.

Ken Roberson:
Accountant
Ken has almost 30 years accounting experience, including a
strong background in system development and implementation.
Ken is responsible for managing the finances and producing
budgets for WORLD WHOLE FOODS.

Sylvia Hoffmann:
Business and Product Development
Consultant
Sylvia has worked in customer relations for 20 years. She has run several businesses
including her own café, aromatherapy clinic, and has worked in flavours
and fragrance industry. Her customer service background has helped bring people
and ideas together, which resulted in her interest in human relationships and
has lead her in pursuit of a Masters in Counselling. However, her greatest passion
is food, and she has just finished writing a book on menus and travel to be published
soon.

Liz Posmyk:
Marketing Consultant
Liz is a highly energetic, creative person with a passion
for food. She has written a lively and informative column
in The Chronicle newspaper since 1993 and, for three years,
featured weekly on ABC Radio 2CN talking food and cooking
with James Valentine and Rod Quinn. Liz is a member of the
Food Media Club Australia, works as a consultant to the food
industry, and has an excellent working relationship with many
prominent members of both the food industry and media. Liz
is also Promotions Manager for the Belconnen Fresh Food Markets
and part owner of Canberra's leading cooking school, Cooking
Co-ordinates.

Warren McDonald:
Accounts Manager
Warren has a strong administrative and accounting background in both the public
and private sector with particular emphasis on system administration and reporting.
He is responsible for the payment of all suppliers, the correct billing and collection
of property rentals and payrolls for Australian Independent Developers and World
Whole Foods. Warren is the liaison officer for all general accounting enquiries,
as well as any rental or maintenance issues that may arise within the group.

Asta Passaris:
World Whole Foods - Accounts
Astas diverse experience in office and warehouse operations,
along with efficient organization and pro-active approach,
makes her perfect for the position of accounts receivable.
Her professionalism and her cheerful, outgoing personality,
are a great asset to the company.

Belinda
Rambow: Reception
and Admin
Belinda uses her considerable psychic abilities to fulfil her duties as Receptionist
Extraordinaire. Belinda manages to keep track of everyones movements, phone
calls, and schedules, on top of a hefty load of admin duties and all without
loosing any of her considerable charm.
